This 10 oz/sq yard polyester canvas tarp features water and tear resistance, and unlike standard wax finished cotton canvas tarps, it does not stain easily. It is dry finished with no waxy feel, commonly chosen over treated cotton canvas tarps, and the breathable fabric helps reduce water condensation underneath. Rust-resistant brass grommets are fitted on all corners and along the perimeter at approximately 24" intervals, with double lock-stitched construction for maximum durability. Polyester canvas tarps are great for covering stationary items; this water-resistant tarp repels lightly running water, but water may eventually soak through under heavy rain or continuous full coverage. You can apply a sealant coating yourself to achieve better waterproof performance, and the sealant is sold separately.
