Material Structure
PVC truck covers are made from a high-strength polyester fabric (scrim) laminated between two layers of PVC coating. This composite structure provides excellent durability, tear resistance, and dimensional stability.
Weight and Thickness
Material weight is usually measured in GSM (grams per square meter). Heavy-duty PVC truck tarps typically range from 400 GSM to 650 GSM, depending on the application.
Reinforced Construction
To withstand heavy use, PVC truck covers often include:
1.Hemmed edges with reinforced webbing or rope
2.Double-stitched or heat-welded seams for superior waterproofing
3.Reinforced corners and D-rings, made with extra PVC layers or leather-like patches for secure tie-down points
Protective Coatings and Treatments
1.UV-resistant coating to prevent cracking, fading, and material degradation from prolonged sun exposure
2.Waterproof and mildew-resistant properties, making PVC tarps suitable for all-weather outdoor use
